This course is the first course to open East of the capital of the Algarve, Faro and lies just outside Tavira. The course was officially opened in March 2000 and was designed by the late Sir Henry Cotton. The course is undulating but not too hilly. The views of the mountains to the North and the Atlantic Ocean to the South are stunning. Player’s accuracy is particularly called upon by the architect’s retention of as many of the old trees as was feasible. These natural obstacles coupled with strategic placed bunkers and the occasional water hazard make the course a worthwhile challenge.

Benamor is a very easy course to walk, with only a few pronounced slopes to contend with. Golfers of all standards will enjoy this course with different tee positions to make it a challenge for everyone.
