La Selva del Camp is a Roman village situated
in the Costa Dorada in the province of Tarragona.
In the historical centre of the village there is still evidence
of many medieval structures, the narrow streets of the village
echo different ancient eras. At the heart of La Selva
del Camp is the Plaza Mayor. Further interesting
sights are the gothic town hall, the renaissance church
Sant Andreu, the castle of Paborde, and
the convent of Sant Agusti and Sant Rafael.
Furthermore, La Selva del Camp makes an ideal location
to explore more locations along the Costa Dorada.
Various water activities are available and the countryside
is popular with hikers. Mayor Fiestas are the Fiesta Mayor
at the last weekend of November or the Fiesta of the patron
in the first week of June. The cooking are typical Catalan
and Mediterranean dishes with a lot of fresh fish and sea
food.
