Includes one of the longest holes in
Spain
|
A private members’
course built in 1983, this was the first golf club in the
Tarragona region. It covers some 136 acres, with numerous
doglegs and hilltop tee shots offering magnificent views over
the course and the sea. It’s very pretty, with pines,
olive trees, willows and palm trees dotted all over. The course
also offers variety and a challenge. The 13th is one of the
longest holes in Spain, measuring 637 yards from the back
tees. The clubhouse is a beautiful converted Masia (farmhouse)
where the interior design is typically Catalan and very swish.
The restaurant is superb. Booking well in advance at weekends
is recommended. |
UKSG Difficultly
Rating
The course is not as long as Bonmont or Panoramica so it’s
a bit easier for high handicaps. Costa Dorada has frequent narrow
doglegs, so accuracy is required. |
Is the course
hilly? No Is this course suitable
for novice & high handicap players? Yes |

"We
have just returned from our golfing trip. A great time was
had by all, the
Salou hotel was good, the food good, the weather was good,
the golf courses good and the golf itself... well, the less
said about that the better, but it was a blast anyway!"
Colm Haughey, Secretary, Craigavon Ambulance Golf
Society May 2005
"Like an older
more traditional course UK parkland course with trees. Not
to difficult. A nice enjoyable course to play"
