A new breed of discerning tourist is rediscovering the
Brava. Very few people know the real Costa
Brava and the lifestyle the Catalans enjoy
here. Golfers travelling to courses situated in the Baix
and Alt Emporda countryside are exploring virgin
territories. What they find is beautiful countryside, peace
and tranquillity, along with outstanding local Catalan
restaurants set inside ancient Masias (farmhouses).
The wealthy Barcelonians retreat here to their
second homes during the weekend and holidays to escape the
hustle and bustle of city life. In the last decade the
Costa Brava has become host to nine
excellent golf courses (not a bad one amongst
them) four of which are some of the best in Europe.
Costa Brava is rapidly becoming known as Spain's
best golfing destination.

"The choice of 3*
hotel in Estartit proved to be ideal, friendly
efficient and a deceptively good restaurant, the evening
meals were very good.
My bunch were a seasoned group of golfers, not the easiest

I have been allotted the task of organising next year again,

I will let you know dates when we have our post trip get
I will be doing a write up on the trip, I am currently deciding
whether I can get it all in one edition, I think it may
stretch to two, if so, I will do Emporda
first, and then PGA
Nou, with a mention of UKSG and
the Hotel in both. That is unless you have other ideas,
I would be happy to receive them.
If you need any recommendations at any time, please call
me, my group on this trip are the third that have travelled
with you on my recommendation, and all have been well satisfied.
Once again thanks and best wishes to you both, Jackie &
